Microsoft Intune Setup for Small Businesses

Manage every company laptop and phone from one place. We set up Microsoft Intune so devices are encrypted, updated and protected — and company data can be removed if a device is lost or someone leaves.

Many small businesses already pay for Intune through Microsoft 365 Business Premium and never switch it on. We help you use what you already have.

Why Intune Matters

Without device management, every laptop in the business is set up differently, updates happen when people remember, and there is no way to take company email and files back from a lost phone or a departing employee.

Intune fixes that from the cloud — no server required, and it works whether your team is in the office, on a job site or at home.

What We Set Up

Device enrolment

Windows laptops and company phones enrolled so they appear in one dashboard. New laptops can be set up with Windows Autopilot so they configure themselves on first sign-in.

Security baselines

Disk encryption with BitLocker, screen lock, firewall and antivirus policies applied the same way on every device.

Update management

Windows and Office updates rolled out on a schedule you control, instead of whenever each user clicks “later”.

Personal phones (BYOD)

App protection policies that keep company email and files inside Outlook, Teams and OneDrive — without taking over the employee’s personal phone.

Compliance and access

Devices that are not encrypted or up to date can be blocked from company data using Conditional Access.

Lost devices and leavers

Remotely wipe company data, or reset the whole device, when it is lost or someone leaves.

What You Need

  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium, or Intune licensed separately
  • Windows 10/11 Pro or higher on company laptops
  • A list of the devices and people that need to be covered

Not sure what licences you have? We check that during the free review.

How It Works

  1. Review — We check your licences, devices and how your team works.
  2. Pilot — We roll Intune out to a few devices first, so nobody is locked out on day one.
  3. Roll-out — We enrol the remaining devices and apply your policies.
  4. Handover — You get a short summary of what is in place and how to add or remove a device.

Common Questions

Will Intune let us see employees’ personal information?

No. On personal phones, app protection only manages company data inside work apps. You cannot see personal photos, messages or browsing.

Do we need a server?

No. Intune is cloud-based and managed from the Microsoft 365 admin tools.

Can you set this up remotely?

Yes. Most Intune projects are done remotely. If you are in Greater Sudbury we can also help on-site with enrolment.
